There are Groups that debuted these past few years that were giving names that gives us a hint of the members Age-Group like for example Groups like Teen Top, Seventeen or Hallyu stars like Super Junior
of course the names are cool as long as they fit in that Age-Group, but as soon as they get older it's starts to get a bit awkward.
For me personally it's already kinda awkward to consider the members of SJ as Juniors since they are by far no Juniors anymore
I mean the members of Teen Top are also no teens anymore , and after some years when the members from Seventeen are in their midtwenties it's also weird to still consider them as Seventeen !
i also find it kinda odd to consider grown up Womans or Men in their midtwenties or midthirties as Girls or Boys
i know the companies gave those names to easier target teens , but i think this is also possible with Groupnames that doesn't suggest an Age-Group and for some strange reason it also gives the vibe as if those companies didn't planned to promote these Groups for that long..
not that i got a problem with it also do i don't want them to change their Groupname now since they already debuted with it..i'm also not hating on the Groups i mention above they just became good example for my Thread.. it's just that it got kinda weird now or will get weird
so do you also think companies in future should try to choose Groupnames that doesn't suggest a specific Age Group ?
