So the main thing here is do campnies that decides a member's role or image think about the future? I'm asking this because of SNSD's Sunny
Her prime was the Gee-Oh! Era. She was marked as the Queen of cute. The little energy pill. However over time she grew up. She even said so herself she wants to show a more womanly image so she doesn't do any of those cute actions and voices(unless the dog requires it) any more.
The problem is that it was her selling point. The old concepts fit her well. The new ones(ignoring the bowl cuts) have been doing well too however she has faded into the back. It doesn't help she gets overshadowed by other vocalist (including freaking Yuri[who slays] I'm not kidding. Check the line distribution for Lion Heart)
She is just kinda there now and idk how she feels idk her but I wonder if she even worried about "who am I?" I mean you can tell she wants to be taken a lil more seriously.
OK rambled but the point is I wonder if SM (companies in general) think about their idols in the long run. those who are given age specific images. These images that are recognized by the public and made them.popular. which makes them even harder to grow out of.
